Krystina Marriott- Designer

Krystina Marriott a 3rd year student studying Interior Design at the University of South Wales expressed an interest in gaining industry experience. After approaching Pinkspiration for site experience a work placement with Travis Perkins was offered. There are only 1% of women in manual trades and projects like this are essential in leading the way to a more diverse workforce. Supporting the pledge to help 50/50 by 2050 encouraging diversity in the sector, providing opportunities for women to work on site and the construction industry are key for growth. Mehrunisa Hassan- Graduate Highways Planner

Recently graduated in Civil Engineering from Cardiff University and approached Pinkspiration to get a role in the Construction and Engineering industry. After an initial mentoring session, we discussed the potential opportunity to work with Jacobs. Mehrunisa was successfully shortlisted for a graduate position with Jacobs to work with their highways team and successfully offered a position as a Graduate Civil Engineer. “I have really enjoyed my experience with Pinkspiration during the mentoring sessions it allowed me to prepare to become more industry focused and create a new CV which has opened up many doors. Thank you very much Jacobs and Pinkspiration.” 

Jack Mason- Apprentice

A keen and enthusiastic young person Jack approached Pinkspiration to pursue a career within the Construction and Engineering industry. After working on our Construction Tasters Jack got involved on site volunteering on Transforming Spaces: Design Factor at Forsythia Youth Centre. Jack received ongoing mentoring which enabled him to pursue a career within industry and was successfully shortlisted for an apprenticeship with Jacobs and offered the position of the Apprentice role at the Forsythia PLO office. “I really enjoyed my experience with Pinkspiration during the rebuild of the community room at Forsythia as it provided me with many new skills that will help me in the future.
